    A new 117-km access-controlled expressway spur is proposed connecting Ghazipur (Ch 0+000) to the Chunar Junction Point (Ch 117+000) in Uttar Pradesh, passing through Ghazipur, Chandauli and Mirzapur districts. The project involves acquisition of about 1,730 hectares of land (mostly agricultural/private) and is currently at the Terms of Reference stage with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with baseline environmental data already collected. Around 350 people are expected to be affected/displaced, with construction employment of about 150-360 persons per day envisaged once work begins.

    Uttar Pradesh More than 49999 Million

    A 117.7-km access-controlled greenfield highway connecting Kanpur and Kabrai has been approved at an estimated cost of Rs 7,145 crore. The corridor forms part of the Bhopal–Kanpur Economic Corridor and is expected to cut travel time between the two towns from about 3.5 hours to 1.5 hours. It aims to boost industrial connectivity, freight movement and market access for the Bundelkhand region.

    An expressways industrial development authority is developing a major link project connecting the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Ganga Expressway via Farrukhabad. With an estimated outlay of ₹74,887.4 million, the access-controlled greenfield highway submitted its Environmental Clearance application in July 2026, with construction scheduled to run from July 2026 to October 2029.

Featuring strategic riverbank connectivity along the River Ganga, it aims to heavily decongest Varanasi City. Scheduled to start construction in December 2026 and finish by December 2031, the project awaits environmental clearance.

    A 43.218 km connector corridor is planned along the River Varuna to link National Highway-31 with the Varanasi Ring Road, bypass routing congestion away from Varanasi city. Built under the Hybrid Annuity Mode for Rs. 55,002.4 million, structural construction runs from December 2026 through December 2029. The regional infrastructure development has successfully received central environmental clearance.
