    The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved a ₹1,757.55 crore project to widen the 44.83 km Bhopal-Vidisha road from two lanes to four lanes with paved shoulders. The project aims to strengthen connectivity within the proposed Bhopal metropolitan region and nearby cities. It will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model with a proposed completion timeline of five years.

    A state infrastructure body is executing a Rs. 30,535 million 4-lane greenfield highway stretching 48.1 kilometers from Pitra Parvat to the Simhastha Bypass. Built via the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), the high-speed transit corridor commenced construction in March 2026 with an October 2027 deadline. The project awaits formal State Level Environment Impact Assessment clearance as of July 2026.
