Food Processing  -  Dec 01,2023  -

With an expected investment of Rs 1,387 crore, the bottling division of Coca-Cola in India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), had its ground-breaking ceremony for its greenfield factory in the MIDC Lote-Parshuram Industrial Area, Khed in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

350 people are expected to find direct and indirect employment possibilities at the 88-acre facility when it opens for business in February, according to a news statement.

The facility will utilise water sourced from the Vashishti River, supplied through the MIDC pipeline.

The groundbreaking ceremony witnessed the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and the State Industries Minister Uday Samant, alongside HCCB Chief Executive Officer Juan Pablo Rodriguez and other senior leaders from the company.

“This significant milestone in the journey of HCCB symbolises not only the planting of seeds for growth, sustainability, and community partnership in the fertile land of Maharashtra but also serves as a testament to the conducive business environment in the state. This upcoming facility represents our continued commitment and belief in the potential of Maharashtra, reflecting our shared history of over two decades,” Rodriguez said.
