Skoda Auto and JSW Green Mobility Sign Non-Binding MoU to Explore India Automotive JV

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India and JSW Green Mobility have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore a strategic automotive joint venture in India. The proposed venture would develop, manufacture and sell passenger vehicles for the domestic and export markets, spanning internal-combustion, electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid powertrains.

 

Both companies have clarified that discussions remain at an early stage and no definitive agreement has been signed. The development adds further shape to JSW Group's automotive ambitions as it separately prepares to launch its own vehicle business. No investment size, manufacturing location, or timeline has been disclosed at this stage.
