Manipal Hospitals to Add 2,426 Beds by 2030, Builds ₹495 Crore Greenfield Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai
Manipal Health Enterprises Ltd is planning to add approximately 2,426 licensed beds by 2030 through a combination of greenfield and brownfield hospital projects, according to its annual report for FY26. As of March 31, 2026, the group operated 49 hospitals with more than 13,000 licensed beds across 14 states and Union Territories.
One of the company's major upcoming projects is a greenfield hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, backed by an investment of around ₹495 crore. The proposed addition would represent an increase of roughly 18.6 percent over the group's current licensed bed capacity, spread over the next four years.
The company added more than 5,500 beds between 2020-21 and 2025-26, positioning it as the leading consolidator among private hospital chains in India by bed additions during that period.
Manipal Hospitals is also evaluating further geographic expansion of its physical infrastructure across Telangana, Keralam, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and parts of Eastern India, including West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Sikkim, as part of its broader capacity build-out.
