    A highway upgradation project is planned in Tamil Nadu by NHAI. The project involves widening the 135 km Tiruchi-Chidambaram highway as a partial four-lane carriageway and is estimated to cost Rs.19500 million. The project has been divided into three packages and tenders have been floated for executing the project. The project is expected to be awarded in March 2018 and completed by September 2020.
