    A new project in Hadnur, Kalaburagi, Karnataka, involves setting up a 10,000 TCD sugar plant, a 400 KLPD sugar juice/syrup/molasses-based distillery, a 320 KLPD grain-based distillery, and a 32 MW cogeneration power plant. Estimated at Rs. 5,500 million, construction is scheduled from April 2025 to November 2029, with environmental clearance currently under review by the Ministry of Environment.

    A major grain-based distillery expansion is planned at Begharazpur, Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The project will increase distillery capacity from 200 KLD to 400 KLD and expand the co-generation unit from 5.0 MW to 12.5 MW. The investment is Rs.1,841.4 million, with construction planned from October 2026 to October 2027. As of January 2026, the proposal is under environmental clearance review.

    Bihar From 5000 Million to 49999 Million

    A greenfield grain-based distillery with 400 KLD ethanol capacity and a 12 MW captive cogeneration plant is proposed, aligned with India’s ethanol blending programme. Using broken rice and maize, the project will adopt zero liquid discharge technology and produce DDGS. Spread over 13.45 hectares, construction is planned from December 2025 to March 2027 and is under environmental clearance.

    A grain-based ethanol plant is being developed in Bhilai, Arang, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, starting with 210 KLD capacity and a 5 MW captive power plant with ZLD technology. Planned expansions will increase ethanol production to 600 KLD, cogeneration power up to 12–15 MW, and include a 10 KLPD malt spirit unit. Total investment is Rs. 2,500 million, with construction from October 2026 to July 2027 and pending environmental clearance.
