    An operating 60 KLPD grain-based ethanol distillery in Lakhanayakankoppa village, Belagavi district, Karnataka is being expanded to a 300 KLPD multi-feed (grain/molasses/B-heavy) facility. The expansion also adds cogeneration power capacity and increases DDGS and CO2 by-product output. The proposal is currently under environmental examination with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with construction of the expansion yet to commence.

    Rs.4450 Million Ethanol/ENA/RS Distillery Expansion Project in Bagalkot, Karnataka

    An existing ethanol distillery is being scaled up from 200 KLPD to 700 KLPD of ENA/Rectified Spirit/Ethanol, adding capability for ethanol-based chemicals and Sustainable Aviation Fuel using a multifeed stock of cane syrup, molasses, and grain. The co-generation power plant is being expanded from 3 MW to 13 MW, alongside CO2 and DDGS by-product capacity increases. The Rs 695 crore project in Badami taluk, Bagalkot district, is currently under environmental examination with a fresh Terms of Reference application filed.

    Rs.4531 Million New Sugar Plant in Devarahipparagi, Vijayapura, Karnataka

    An integrated agro-processing complex is proposed comprising an 8,000 TCD sugar crushing unit, a 25 MW biomass-based cogeneration power plant, and a 200 KLPD distillery producing rectified spirit/ENA and ethanol from B-heavy molasses, syrup and grain. The project is currently under review by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference, with no construction activity commenced yet. Once cleared, the facility is expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment during both construction and operational phases.

    A ₹160 million distillery expansion in Bagalkote, Karnataka, will scale capacity from 120 KLPD to 700 KLPD. Operating on a multi-feedstock model (molasses, syrup, grains), the plant will produce RS, ENA, Industrial Alcohol, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), alongside upgrading captive power to 25 MW. Submitted for SEIAA clearance in July 2026, construction runs from January to August 2027.
