UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw laid the foundation stones for manufacturing projects worth an estimated ₹6,750 crore in Yamuna City, Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. The investment covers two electronics facilities intended to strengthen domestic production capabilities.

ASCENT-K Circuits will set up a ₹3,250 crore advanced Printed Circuit Board (PCB) plant. AMBER Enterprises will establish a separate ₹3,500 crore facility that will manufacture HVAC components in addition to PCB assemblies. Together, the two projects are expected to create around 3,000 jobs.

The facilities will produce advanced high-density, multi-layer PCBs, including boards with up to 20 and 22 layers, which form components used in modern electronic devices. The projects are positioned as part of a shift from electronics assembly toward advanced component production in India.

The government indicated the projects would support India's semiconductor and electronics ecosystem and reduce reliance on PCB imports, which currently total nearly ₹40,000 crore annually. The initiative is also intended to position Jewar as an electronics manufacturing hub in North India.
