JSW Energy's JEPEL Wins ₹443.74 Crore Order to Supply 200 MW/400 MWh BESS to Bondada Renewable Energy
JSW Energy's step-down subsidiary, JSW Energy PSP Eleven (JEPEL), has secured an order worth ₹443.74 crore from Bondada Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering, for the supply of battery energy storage solutions. Under the agreement, JEPEL will supply a 200 MW/400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) along with Power Conversion System (PCS) solutions.
The battery systems will be manufactured at JEPEL's battery assembly facility in Pune, which has an annual manufacturing capacity of 5 GWh. The plant is part of JSW Energy's strategy to expand domestic manufacturing capabilities for utility-scale energy storage projects.
JSW Energy has been expanding its footprint across power generation and energy storage. The company currently has a locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW, comprising 14.53 GW of operational assets, around 13 GW under construction across thermal, hydro and renewable projects, and a development pipeline of 4.6 GW. In energy storage, the company has a locked-in capacity of 29.6 GWh, including 26.4 GWh of pumped hydro storage and 3.2 GWh of battery energy storage systems.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, JSW Energy reported consolidated net profit of ₹573.53 crore and revenue from operations of ₹4,498.58 crore, both reflecting year-on-year growth driven by continued capacity expansion.
