Evervan Kothari Footwear Lays Foundation for ₹850 Crore Adidas Non-Leather Footwear Facility Expansion in Karur, Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay laid the foundation stone, through video conferencing, for the second phase of Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited's non-leather footwear manufacturing facility for Adidas in Karur district. The project, to be established with an investment of ₹850 crore, is expected to generate employment for 6,750 people. The foundation stone was laid during an event organised by the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department at the Karur Collectorate.
Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited is a joint venture between the Kothari Group and Taiwan-based Evervan Group, one of the world's leading footwear manufacturers. The company already operates non-leather footwear manufacturing facilities in Karur and Perambalur districts.
According to the state government, the second-phase expansion is expected to strengthen Tamil Nadu's position in the global footwear manufacturing sector while boosting industrial growth, exports and large-scale employment in the region.
