HPCL Renewable and Green Energy Commissions 10.4 MWp Captive Solar Plant at Erandol Taluka, Jalgaon District, Maharashtra

HPCL Renewable and Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, has inaugurated its largest solar power plant to date at Erandol Taluka in Jalgaon district, Maharashtra. The 10.4 MWp project was inaugurated on May 30, 2026 by Rajneesh Narang, Director-Finance of HPCL.

The Jalgaon solar plant spans approximately 32 acres and is equipped with 18,760 solar modules. The project is designed to support captive green energy requirements for HPCL's marketing and operational locations across Maharashtra and is expected to generate around 1.4 crore kWh of clean electricity annually. 

With the commissioning of the Jalgaon plant, HPRGE's total installed solar capacity has reached 24.3 MWp, with the combined portfolio generating over 3.3 crore kWh of renewable energy per year. 

The project is aligned with HPCL's long-term sustainability roadmap and Net Zero aspirations. The company continues to invest in renewable energy assets as part of its broader strategy to decarbonise operations and increase the share of clean energy in its portfolio.
