UP Government Inaugurates Eastern Uttar Pradesh's First Flatted Factory Complex at GIDA, Gorakhpur at ₹208 Crore Investment
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated eastern Uttar Pradesh's first flatted factory complex at the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority area on June 3, 2026, as part of a ceremony covering the inauguration and foundation stone laying of 71 development projects in Gorakhpur.
The Flatted Factory Complex has been developed in the GIDA area at a cost of ₹208 crore. The inauguration ceremony also included the launch of an Economically Weaker Section–Low Income Group residential complex, and the distribution of allotment letters for industrial plots and housing, alongside skill development certificates for youth trained at the NIELIT Skill Centre.
The new flatted factory complex is expected to support small and medium enterprises by providing ready-to-use industrial space, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and industrial growth in the Gorakhpur region and the broader eastern Uttar Pradesh belt.
The state government said the projects are expected to strengthen industrial infrastructure, promote investment and create employment opportunities in the region. Officials stated the initiatives will contribute to economic growth, industrial expansion and skill development in eastern Uttar Pradesh, aligned with the state's goal of promoting self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh initiative.
