BIADA Approves 29 Industrial Projects Worth ₹5,998 Crore in Bihar; Empra Life India Leads With ₹5,600 Crore Investment

The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), through its Project Clearance Committee, has approved 29 new industrial projects with a proposed investment of ₹5,998.47 crore. The committee allotted around 37.95 acres of industrial land for the projects and also approved allocation of Plug-and-Play sheds to enable faster commencement of operations.

The approved projects span advanced medical technology, food processing, textiles, chemical manufacturing, plastic products, optical emission spectrometers, electric vehicles, furniture and fixtures, lithium-ion batteries, compressed biogas (CBG), and general manufacturing. The units will be set up across industrial areas including Sikanderpur Industrial Area (Bihta, Patna), Hathua Phase-3, Forbesganj, Lohat Phase-1, Bariarpur and Fatwah Industrial Area.

Empra Life India Private Limited is the largest single investor among the approved proposals, committing around ₹5,600 crore, described as one of the biggest single-company investment proposals in Bihar's history. The company has been allotted 9.64 acres of land in Sikanderpur Industrial Area, Bihta, Patna, for its manufacturing facility.

Other companies whose projects were cleared include Shri Shirdi Sainath Power Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Rungta Irrigation Ltd., Pankaj Traders, Anvira Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., Sangam Industries, Kalayan Plasto Industries and Lisica Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.

The approved projects are expected to generate around 3,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.
