Adani Defence & Aerospace laid the foundation stone for a missile manufacturing facility in Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh, on July 5, 2026. The event, held in Pali village along National Highway-27, was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Managing Director Karan Adani, and Adani Enterprises Director Jeet Adani in attendance.

The facility is planned as an integrated ecosystem for manufacturing medium- to long-range missile systems, incorporating composite propellant manufacturing and TNT and explosive-grade material production alongside missile assembly. The project involves an investment of ₹2,500 crore and is expected to be developed over the next three years.

The plant is projected to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect jobs and is expected to draw more than 50 MSMEs into the associated supply chain. It will complement the company's existing defence manufacturing operations at Gwalior, which currently produces light machine guns, assault rifles and carbines for the Indian Armed Forces.

The Shivpuri project forms part of the Adani Group's broader investment commitment of ₹1,10,000 crore across Madhya Pradesh spanning sectors including pumped hydro storage, cement, mining, logistics and thermal energy, with a stated target of generating around 1,20,000 jobs in the state by 2030.

Separately, development projects worth ₹211.29 crore were also inaugurated during the same event.
