ACE, KATO Form JV to Invest ₹200 Crore in Crane Manufacturing Plant in Faridabad, Haryana
Action Construction Equipment (ACE) and Japan-based KATO Works Co. Ltd. have formed a 50:50 joint venture to set up a crane manufacturing facility in India. The partners will jointly invest approximately ₹200 crore in the project.
The facility will be located in Faridabad, Haryana. It will manufacture high-capacity truck cranes with capacities ranging from 51 tonnes to 100 tonnes, along with crawler cranes with capacities of up to 150 tonnes.
The joint venture will initially cater to the domestic market. Export plans are also under consideration as part of the "Make in India for the World" initiative. The project brings together ACE's manufacturing capabilities with KATO's product design, engineering, and technology expertise.
The companies have indicated plans to add more crane models over time, based on market demand. Once operational, the facility is expected to add domestic capacity for high-capacity cranes and support India's broader heavy equipment manufacturing base.
