Adani Group to Invest ₹2,500 Crore in Missile Manufacturing Ecosystem in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh
Adani Group will invest ₹2,500 crore over the next three years to establish an integrated missile manufacturing ecosystem in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. The facility is described as bringing the entire value chain, from raw materials to mission-ready missile systems, under one roof.
The Shivpuri complex will manufacture medium- to long-range missile systems. It will also include facilities for composite propellant production and TNT and explosive-grade material manufacturing, aimed at reducing dependence on defence imports.
The project is expected to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities and support more than 50 micro, small and medium enterprises through a dedicated defence supply chain.
The missile manufacturing project forms part of Adani Group's broader ₹1.10 lakh crore investment commitment in Madhya Pradesh, announced at the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal. This commitment spans hydro pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters and thermal energy projects, and is expected to create 1.2 lakh jobs in the state by 2030.
Separately, the group has invested over ₹4,000 crore in its Ametha and Kymore plants in Katni district. Adani Power currently supplies 1,200 MW of electricity to Madhya Pradesh, with an additional 5,600 MW under development, alongside commissioned wind energy projects in Lahori, Dhar, Ratlam and Ujjain and preparations underway for a cement plant in Ujjain. The group has also laid the foundation stone for a ₹1,060 crore cement unit in Guna.
