    North Western Railway plans a new railway line connecting Ratlam, Dungarpur, and Banswara across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The project, estimated at Rs. 24,172.4 million, commenced construction in May 2023 and is scheduled to be completed by March 2028. As of October 2025, the project is currently under implementation.

As of October 2025, the project has issued the Notice to Proceed and is being executed through the EPC route.

As of September 2025, it has been submitted to the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority for clearance.
