    Tamil Nadu From 5000 Million to 49999 Million

    A 77 km stretch between Arakkonam and Renigunta will get new third and fourth railway lines at an estimated cost of Rs. 19360 Million. The project includes construction of 12 major bridges and 221 minor bridges to support the expanded corridor. It has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs to improve connectivity to SIDCO and SIPCOT industrial zones.

    A new rail wheels manufacturing unit is proposed at Puduvoyal, Gummidipoondi, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The project includes construction of industrial buildings for rail wheels, axles, and wheel sets over 61,630.54 sq m, with an investment of ₹13,905.5 million. Construction is planned from February to August 2026, and the proposal is under state environmental clearance review.

Executed under the EPC mode, the project includes associated infrastructure and is estimated to cost Rs. 8,560 million. As of October 2025, tenders for the project have been floated.
