    A new modular furniture manufacturing facility is being established at Painal Tola, Mahmadpur, in Bihta block of Patna district with a proposed capacity of 20,000 units per year. The State Pollution Control Board has granted Consent to Establish (NOC) for the unit, valid for one year from the date of issue. The proponent must obtain Consent to Operate before commissioning of the plant.

    A 41.33 km, four-lane at-grade/elevated greenfield expressway is proposed on Hybrid Annuity Mode, connecting Sultanganj, Bhagalpur and Sabour along the Ganga river corridor in Bihar. The project is currently under appraisal, having been referred to the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC), with land acquisition (270.66 Ha, entirely non-forest) in progress. Construction has not yet commenced.
