Project summary
A greenfield 42-km, 4-lane expressway comprising elevated and at-grade sections is planned to connect Munger (Safiabad), Bariyarpur, Ghorghat and Sultanganj along the Ganga river corridor in Bihar. The project, proposed on Hybrid Annuity Mode, is currently under environmental appraisal with the proposal referred to the Expert Appraisal Committee. Land acquisition (largely non-forest, privately owned) is underway ahead of construction.
