Project summary
The Central PSU plans to enhance Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station's capacity in Uttar Pradesh's Sonebhadra district by adding 2x800 MW units fueled by coal. Stage-I's 5x200 MW units will decommission upon Stage-II's completion. Stage-III's main plant (2x800 MW) will utilize existing infrastructure. The project received environmental clearances in 2017 and 2020. As of March 2024, the project begins with a Rs.170,000 million investment.
