    A 25 MW CFBC-based coal-fired captive thermal power plant is proposed within an existing integrated steel manufacturing complex to meet in-house electricity requirements. The proposal has been accepted and referred to the Expert Appraisal Committee by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for review. Non-forest land of 8.09 hectares has already been acquired for the project within the existing industrial premises.

The project aims to enhance energy security and infrastructure development. As of November 2025, planning and regulatory processes are underway following a formal partnership established in April 2025.

    A transmission systems project in Latehar, Ranchi, and Ramgarh, Jharkhand, will establish 400/220/132/33 kV lines and substations under the Jharkhand Consultancy Project. Estimated at Rs. 18,422.5 million, it is being developed via the EPC route. Construction is set to finish by March 2026 and, as of August 2025, has reached the “Notice to Proceed” stage.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 7,973.5 million, with construction scheduled to begin in December 2024 and conclude by May 2027, developed through the EPC route.
