A new M.S. ingot manufacturing project is planned in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with production of ingots, runner rizer (28,800 MT/Yr) and M.S. pipes (30,000 MT/Yr). The state pollution control authorities have given consent for the project as of July 2018.
A steel plant in West Bengal is planning to expand its production capacity by installing induction furnaces, LRF, CCM, and rolling mill for the production of TMT Bars. The expansion aims to produce 1,98,000 TPA liquid steel, 1,95,000 TPA billets, and 1,00,000 TPA TMT Bars with an estimated cost of Rs. 370 million. As of July 2018, the project is awaiting environment clearance.
