The expansion will also widen the maximum coil width from 9 inches to 11 inches, enabling the company to serve a broader range of customer specifications. The announcement is at an early stage, with the expanded facility expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY27.

The project initially proposed a ₹674,250 million unit for tin-coated plates (150,000 TPA), colour-coated sheets (315,000 TPA), and captive CR coils (330 MT/day). Revisions in August 2026 set investment at ₹17,950 million to produce 600,000 TPA GI/GL and 200,000 TPA Tin Plate/CRCA. Construction runs from September 2027 to March 2029.

    A secondary steel manufacturing unit expansion project is planned in Village Kumbh, Mandi Gobindgarh, Fatehgarh Sahib District, Punjab. Budgeted at Rs. 203.6 million, the expansion aims for an enhanced production capacity of 105,000 MTPA. Environmental clearance was applied for in July 2026. On-site construction activities are scheduled to run from November 2026 to August 2028.

The project will scale cold rolled strip production from 335 TPD to 489 TPD by installing three rolling mills, a pickling line, two boilers, and three annealing furnaces. Construction is slated for January 2027 to January 2028.
