    A new sponge iron manufacturing project is planned in Bhibhauri, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It includes DRI Kilns (2,31,000 TPA), Induction Furnace with LRF & CCM (2,47,500 TPA), WHRB-based Power Plant (20 MW), and CFBC-based Power Plant (10 MW). Estimated cost: Rs. 2900 million. Construction starts May 2024, ends May 2025. Environmental clearance process underway as of September 2023.
