New Regional Sanitary Landfill Development Project in Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh
A regional sanitary landfill and Common Municipal Solid Waste Management Facility (CMSWMF) with a rated capacity of 6570 TPA is proposed at Sendhwa to serve Sendhwa town and its 8 cluster ULBs (Barwani, Anjad, Rajpur, Khetia, Pansemal, Niwali burjurg, Palsud and Thikari). The project is currently at ToR application stage with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with land acquisition already completed and consent to establish to be obtained post EC. Construction is expected to generate about 900 man-days of employment, with 7 permanent staff planned during operations.
