    A massive heavy-industry expansion project is planned in the Seraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand to establish a 1.431 MTPA integrated steel plant. Spanning 80.64 hectares, the Rs. 40,000 million complex features an integrated 255 MW captive power plant (WHRB and AFBC). Construction is slated from April 2027 to March 2034, and the project currently awaits statutory environmental clearance as of July 2026.

The plant will feature manufacturing capacities of 1,50,000 TPA pig iron, 1,05,000 TPA sponge iron, and 1,95,000 TPA sinter, powered by an integrated 22 MW captive plant. Environmental clearance processing began in June 2026, with construction scheduled for January to October 2027.
