    A 25 MW CFBC-based coal-fired captive thermal power plant is proposed within an existing integrated steel manufacturing complex to meet in-house electricity requirements. The proposal has been accepted and referred to the Expert Appraisal Committee by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for review. Non-forest land of 8.09 hectares has already been acquired for the project within the existing industrial premises.

    A greenfield opencast coal mining project with 4 MTPA production capacity is proposed over 546.59 hectares in Latehar district, Jharkhand, involving diversion of 278.71 Ha forest land and rehabilitation of 5 villages. Coal will initially be transported by road to the railway siding, shifting to a conveyor system once the coal handling plant is commissioned. The proposal is currently under environmental examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
