    A 25-acre integrated municipal waste processing facility is coming up in West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya. With a 30 TPD capacity, the ₹583 million project includes composting, recycling, and a 25-year life engineered landfill. Currently awaiting environmental clearance, the one-year construction phase is slated to begin in August 2026 to improve regional sanitation and waste recovery.

Construction is set to begin in December 2024 and conclude by January 2025. The project is currently awaiting environmental clearance.
