    A Rs 5.14-crore integrated solid waste management facility is proposed at Dodda Igalur village in Malur, Kolar district, Karnataka, covering composting, scientific landfilling, and leachate collection and treatment on 2.02 hectares of government land. The facility, with a proposed capacity of 18,250 TPA (50 TPD) of municipal solid waste and expected compost output of about 2,555 TPA (7 TPD), is currently under verification with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for fresh Environmental Clearance.

The facility, spread over about 6.36 acres, will include a windrow composting platform, sanitary landfill, material recovery facility and leachate management system, and is currently under environmental examination with construction yet to commence.

    A district hospital in Mangaluru is undertaking a major expansion, increasing built-up area from 63,155 sq.m to 78,489 sq.m across a 5.27 hectare plot, raising bed capacity to 705. The project includes demolition of 3 existing buildings, construction of a new OPD block and additional floors to the Super Specialty Medicine Block. The proposal is currently under environmental verification with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with physical construction yet to commence.

    A standalone Municipal Solid Waste processing facility using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology is in operation at Bagalur village near Bengaluru, currently processing wet waste with a targeted capacity of up to 30,000 MT per month. The ₹150 million facility, spread over 3.52 hectares, already holds valid Consent to Establish and Operate from the state pollution control board. The proponent has approached the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change seeking clarification on whether prior Environmental Clearance is required for the facility.

    A ₹125 million Common Hazardous Waste Incineration Facility with a capacity of 10,000 TPA is planned in Chikkaballapura district, Karnataka. Designed to process industrial hazardous waste streams, the project proposal was submitted to SEIAA for environmental clearance in July 2026. On-site construction work is scheduled to run from March 2027 through November 2027.
