    A new distillery project in Pashchim Champaran District plans to produce Fuel Ethanol, Rectified Spirit, and Extra Neutral Alcohol with a proposed capacity of 45 KLD. By July 2023, the capacity has increased to 60 KLPD and includes co-gen from molasses and grains-based ethanol. State pollution authorities have granted consent for project establishment.

    A distillery expansion project is planned in Gopalganj District. It involves increasing the molasses-based distillery capacity from 45 to 75 KLPD and co-generation power plant capacity from 1.0 to 5.0 MW. Additionally, a 125 KLPD grain-based distillery will be installed. Environmental clearance is underway since January 2016. The project aims to expand the grain-based distillery to 325 KLD and cogeneration power to 10 MW, with an investment of Rs. 560 million.

    A 150 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant, along with a 4.5 MW co-generation power plant, is set to be established in the Industrial Area Nawanagar, Buxar, Bihar. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 1860.2 million and is scheduled to start in June 2023 and end by January 2025. As of May 2023, environmental clearance for the project is pending. The project aims to meet the growing demand for biofuels and contribute to India's clean energy targets.
