    A new opencast coal mine project is planned in Latehar, Jharkhand. The project aims to produce 6.0 million metric tons annually from a 460-hectare ML area. With an estimated cost of Rs.1300 million, it has received environmental clearances in November 2019 after the first level of clearance in January 2018.
