Vayona Energy Commences Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh
Vayona Energy commenced wind turbine blade manufacturing at its Nellore facility in Andhra Pradesh, marking a step in the company's efforts to strengthen its domestic renewable energy manufacturing capabilities. The company plans to progressively expand production capacity and operational capabilities at the facility, positioning it as a key manufacturing hub for current and next-generation wind energy products.
Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman of Vayona Energy, said the expansion reflects the company's long-term vision of building manufacturing capabilities within India, strengthening its footprint and supporting an integrated, globally competitive renewable energy supply chain.
According to Pritesh Vinay, Chief Executive Officer of Vayona Energy, the Nellore blade manufacturing plant, together with the company's Mamandur nacelle facility, represents a step toward establishing a fully integrated wind turbine manufacturing ecosystem in India, supporting both existing and future-generation technologies.
Vayona Energy will undertake phased investments at the Nellore facility through 2027 to expand production capabilities, including installation of new blade molds, manufacturing equipment, and supporting infrastructure. Initially, the facility will manufacture blades for the company's 3X platform while preparing for future-generation wind turbine products.
The strengthened manufacturing footprint is expected to improve production efficiency, shorten delivery timelines, and enhance supply chain resilience for Vayona Energy's wind turbine business, aligning with India's broader push toward domestic manufacturing of renewable energy equipment.
