A ₹23,680 million inter-regional project is strengthening the Northern and Western grids via Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. It includes a new 765 kV substation at Prayagraj and 440 ckm of transmission lines to decongest the Vindhyachal-Varanasi corridor. Under SEIAA review as of March 2026, construction is underway from October 2025, with a completion target of October 2027.
