The expansion, proposed on land adjoining the existing SIPCOT Industrial Complex facility in Cuddalore, is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change as a Category A project due to its proximity to a Severely Polluted Area

    A new manufacturing facility for synthetic organic chemicals, including unsaturated polyester resin, PET resin, isophthalic resin, vinyl ester resin and bisphenol resin, is proposed with a total capacity of about 12,000 TPA. The unit is planned within SIPCOT Industrial Park Phase I, Cuddalore, on leased industrial land. The proposal is currently under examination for Terms of Reference from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with construction yet to commence.

    Tamil Nadu From 100 Million to 999 Million

    A new resorcinol–formaldehyde resin manufacturing facility is proposed at Ariyalur, Manali, Tiruvottiyur in Chennai within an existing industrial shed. The unit will produce 25 MT per month to support dipping solutions, boosting dipped industrial fabric capacity from about 1,100 MT to nearly 3,000 MT monthly. The ₹650 million project is planned from January to March 2026 and is under environmental clearance review.

    A new synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing unit is planned in SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Erode, Tamil Nadu, with a capacity of 2,610 TPA. The project, costing Rs. 41 million, is set to begin construction in June 2025 and finish by May 2026. As of February 2025, it awaits environmental clearance from the State Level Impact Assessment Authority.

With an estimated cost of Rs. 1,200 million, construction will run from October 2025 to September 2026. As of April 2025, environmental clearance is under review.
