    A 5400 MW off-stream open-loop pumped storage hydroelectric project is proposed across Taluka Bhor and Mahad in Pune and Raigad districts of Maharashtra, involving construction of upper and lower reservoirs with gross storage capacities of 27.97 MCM and 27.38 MCM respectively. The proposal has been accepted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and referred to the Expert Appraisal Committee for Terms of Reference; land acquisition, forest diversion approval and baseline environmental data collection are currently underway. Construction has not yet commenced, with the applicant company still securing statutory clearances and finalising site-specific approvals.

    A new biomass pellet manufacturing facility with a capacity of 80 TPD, using waste wood and agricultural waste as raw material, is being established in Badangi Mandal, Vizianagaram District. The project, spread over 2.43 acres, has received Consent to Establish from the State Pollution Control Board. The unit is at the environmental clearance stage, with operations expected to commence after obtaining Consent for Operation.

    First wind energy project in Madhya Pradesh, with a capacity of 200 MW at Limbawas. Suzlon will supply 64 of its flagship S144 (3.15 MW) wind turbine generators and execute the project on an end-to-end EPC basis, covering land acquisition, balance of plant, pooling substation, EHV line, commissioning and O&M. The power generated will be connected to the MPPCL state grid; the order was announced in September 2026.
