    A 24 MW small hydroelectric power project is planned on the Tuirini River in Aizawl district, Mizoram, to boost renewable energy capacity. With an estimated investment of Rs.676.98 crore, the project is externally aided via a New Development Bank loan, funded 80% centrally and 20% by the state. Foundation stone is laid, and completion is expected within five years.
