    A new 177.16 km double-line railway corridor is planned in the eastern region, connecting Bhagalpur, Dumka, and Rampurhat. The project includes 100 ROB/RUBs, 22 major bridges, and 290 minor bridges. The estimated investment is Rs. 31,685.8 million. Construction is scheduled from April 2026 to September 2028. As of January 2026, DPR and feasibility studies are underway through the EPC route.

    A new fourth railway line between Itarsi and Bina is proposed across several districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Sehore, Raisen, Sagar, and Vidisha. The project is estimated to cost Rs.43,287.4 million. Construction is planned from October 2025 to October 2029, with the project currently at the DPR and feasibility study stage under the EPC route.

With an estimated investment of Rs.7,000 million, it is in the execution stage, with tenders finalized and land acquisition and joint surveys being accelerated by railway and district authorities.
