Project summary
A new 177.16 km double-line railway corridor is planned in the eastern region, connecting Bhagalpur, Dumka, and Rampurhat. The project includes 100 ROB/RUBs, 22 major bridges, and 290 minor bridges. The estimated investment is Rs. 31,685.8 million. Construction is scheduled from April 2026 to September 2028. As of January 2026, DPR and feasibility studies are underway through the EPC route.
