The expansion is aimed at augmenting hospital infrastructure and healthcare service capacity at the institute. The proposal is currently under verification with the ministry.

  2. Announcement Stage Steel Projects Updated

    Rs.150 Million Narrow-Width HR Coil Capacity Expansion Project in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab

    Punjab From 100 Million to 999 Million

    A capital expenditure of approximately Rs 15 crore to expand its narrow-width HR coil manufacturing capacity from 5,000 MT to 10,000 MT per month. The expansion will also widen the maximum coil width from 9 inches to 11 inches, enabling the company to serve a broader range of customer specifications. The announcement is at an early stage, with the expanded facility expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY27.

    A textile industrial shed used for dyeing, processing, printing and finishing is set to see its built-up area increased to over 1 lakh sqmtr, spread across 2.35 hectares of company-owned land in Ludhiana district. The proposal, currently under verification with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for fresh environmental clearance, is expected to generate over 1,800 permanent jobs once operational.

    Rs.4450 Million Grain-Based Distillery Expansion Project in Tarn Taran, Punjab

    Punjab From 1000 Million to 4999 Million

    A grain and molasses-based ethanol distillery in Village Louhka, Punjab is being expanded from 225 KLPD to 925 KLPD along with its co-generation power plant capacity rising from 4.4 MW to 16.4 MW. The expansion, to be developed at an estimated cost of ₹445 crore, is currently under review by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference. The project will also enhance by-product output including carbon dioxide and dried distillers grains soluble (DDGS) used as cattle feed.

    Rs.17950 Million Integrated Secondary Steel Processing Facility in Patiala, Punjab

    Punjab From 5000 Million to 49999 Million

    A major Integrated Secondary Steel Processing Facility is planned at Baprawar. The project initially proposed a ₹674,250 million unit for tin-coated plates (150,000 TPA), colour-coated sheets (315,000 TPA), and captive CR coils (330 MT/day). Revisions in August 2026 set investment at ₹17,950 million to produce 600,000 TPA GI/GL and 200,000 TPA Tin Plate/CRCA. Construction runs from September 2027 to March 2029.
