    A large integrated steel complex comprising DRI, steel melting shop, rolling mill, captive power plant, ferro alloy plant, wire drawing, fabrication, galvanizing and fly ash brick units is proposed in Bemetara district, Chhattisgarh. The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for fresh environmental clearance. Construction is yet to commence, with site works and rehabilitation activities planned to follow clearance.

    Chhattisgarh From 1000 Million to 4999 Million

    A greenfield integrated steel complex is planned near Raipur, Chhattisgarh, featuring twin 350 TPD DRI kilns, induction/reheating furnaces, a rerolling mill, a galvanizing line, a captive 35 MW power plant and a fly ash brick unit. The project is currently at the ToR (Terms of Reference) stage with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with a query/clarification pending on the application. Land (9.907 Ha, non-forest, government-allotted) has already been secured from the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation.

    A greenfield integrated steel complex is proposed in Raipur district, Chhattisgarh, comprising sponge iron, iron ore beneficiation and pelletization, rotary hearth furnace, MS billets, rolled steel, ferro alloys, GI pipe/wire, fly ash bricks and a 50 MW captive power plant. The proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for grant of Terms of Reference. Total project cost is estimated at ₹10,657.7 million on 25.958 hectares of non-forest land.

    Steel Casting and Forging Unit Expansion Project in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh

    An existing ferrous steel casting, forging, fabrication, machining and allied products unit at Bhilai is being expanded to enhance capacities across castings, forgings, fabrication, machining, mechanical spares, ingots and moulds. The State Pollution Control Board has granted Consent to Establish for the expansion within the existing plant area of 2.397 acres. Construction/expansion activity is expected to commence following this approval.

    Iron Ore Pellet Plant Expansion Project in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh

    A major industrial expansion in Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh, involves setting up a 760,000 TPA sponge iron plant, increasing pellet production to 2,300,000 TPA, reconfiguring coal gasifiers (80,000 Nm³/hr capacity), and scaling up ferro alloy and pig iron capacities.
