    A new single malt whisky distillery with an annual capacity of around 3 million bulk litres is being set up along with a maturation warehouse in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The investment marks entry into the provenance-led Single Malt Whisky segment as part of a broader premiumisation strategy. The project is expected to be completed by Q3 FY28.

    Rs.762 Million New Grain Based Distillery Plant in Bemetara, Chhattisgarh

    Chhattisgarh From 100 Million to 999 Million

    A new Multi-Sugar/Damaged Grain-based ethanol (MSDH) plant is proposed within an existing plant premise in Bemetara district, Chhattisgarh. The unit will use rectified spirit (RS) procured from external sources at 96-97% purity to produce RS-based ethanol at a capacity of 110 KLPD. Environmental Clearance has been granted and the project is now proceeding under prescribed environmental safeguards ahead of Consent to Operate.

    Rs.9047 Million New Grain-Based Ethanol Distillery in Jamui, Bihar

    Bihar From 5000 Million to 49999 Million

    A new grain-based ethanol distillery project is planned in Urva Village, Chakai Block, Jamui, Bihar, with a capacity of 750 KLPD and an associated 20 MW co-generation power plant. Estimated at Rs. 9,047.8 million, the project is under construction as of December 2025, with recruitment and commissioning activities expected to start around March–April 2026.

    Rs.1500 Million Distillery Plant Expansion Project in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh

    Uttar Pradesh From 1000 Million to 4999 Million

    Expansion of an existing 450 KLPD cane juice/sugar syrup/grain based distillery to a 650 KLPD distillery, with cogeneration power capacity raised from 6.0 MW to 8.65 MW through addition of a 200 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant and a 2.65 MW biomass-based cogeneration unit. Located at Village Shamli Shamla and Gagore, Tehsil Unn, District Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, on about 10.14 hectares of land. The Terms of Reference proposal is currently under examination by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with no confirmed construction start date yet.

    Rs.9288 Million 2G Ethanol Mfg. Project in Solan, Himachal Pradesh

    Himachal Pradesh From 5000 Million to 49999 Million

    A new industrial project in IA Gheer, Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, involves manufacturing 198,000 tonnes of 2G Ethanol, 2,200 tonnes of Vitamin B2 3 Ferm, and 3,000 tonnes of Erythromycin Thiocyanate annually. Investment stands at Rs. 9,288 million. Approved by the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee in June 2026, project construction commenced in September 2026.
