A steel plant expansion in Kamnara, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal, will cost Rs. 1,530 million. It includes installing new DRI kilns, induction furnaces, an electric arc furnace, a 120,000 TPA rolling mill, and a 10,000 TPA galvanization plant, plus a 32 MW captive power plant. Construction will start in January 2025 and finish by December 2027. Environmental clearance is under review as of September 2024.
