A sponge iron production expansion plant is planned in Jharkhand's Giridih district. The project aims to increase production from 33,000TPA to 264,000TPA, including installation of DRI kilns, induction furnaces, CCM, a captive power plant, and a rolling mill. Environmental clearance is pending with the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change as of March 2024.
