A greenfield integrated steel plant is proposed in Puruliya district, West Bengal. The facility will manufacture pellets, sponge iron, billets, rolled products, grinding media balls, pig iron or ferro alloys, and low-carbon ferrochrome, supported by a 165 MW captive power plant. The ?18,460-million project targets construction from June 2027 to November 2028 and is awaiting environmental clearance under regulatory review.
