Mukand Sumi Special Steel Ltd. has announced a greenfield integrated steelmaking facility in Kanakapura, Koppal, Karnataka, with an initial capacity of 0.35 MTPA and investment of Rs.23,450 million. The project includes expansion of alloy steel rolling capacity to 0.9 MTPA and backward integration. Construction is planned from May 2026 to May 2028, subject to environmental clearance.
