A steel manufacturer is expanding its existing sponge iron facility, doubling production from 60,000 TPA to 120,000 TPA through a new 200 TPD DRI kiln and adding ferro-alloy production, a 12 MW captive power plant, and related units. With investments exceeding Rs. 1,400 million, construction is planned from March 2026 to December 2027, and the project is currently under SEIAA review for environmental clearance.
