Project summary
Kodarma Petrochemicals plans a new coal tar distillation plant in Gumo, Jhumritelaiya, Kodarma, Jharkhand. The greenfield project, costing Rs.740 million, will produce 100,000 TPA coal tar products, including 54,000 TPA coal tar pitch, 10,000 TPA naphthalene, 20,000 TPA anthracene oil, and others. Construction is scheduled from July to December 2026. As of December 2025, it has been submitted for environmental clearance.
