In Giridih, Jharkhand, a new 8 MW captive power plant is planned, costing Rs. 300 million, awaiting environmental clearance since December 2020. Additionally, Sponge Iron Production enhancement from 90,000 to 99,000 TPA and installation of a 12.5 MW Captive Power Plant are proposed, with a Rs. 723 million investment. Both projects await environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India as of April 2024.
